The Volvo World Match Play returns to sunny Spain this year and will take place at the beautiful Finca Cortesin golf course in Casares, Malaga.
The Match Play format will see 24 of the leading players in the world going head to head including defending champion Ian Poulter, Spain’s Sergio Garcia, 2011 open champion Darren Clarke, world number 10 Justin Rose, Retief Goosen, Paul Lawrie and current USPGA champion Martin Kaymer.
The line-up will also include two local Spanish stars Alvaro Quiros and Rafael Cabrera-Bello who are hoping to bring the trophy back to the host country.
The tournaments match play format will see the players, divided into eight separate groups of three and play in a round-robin group format on Thursday and Friday. 16 players will then progress to the knockout stage on the Saturday with semi finals and final taking place on the Sunday.
The tournament runs from the 17th – 20th May and tickets are priced at only €20.00.
