If you are visiting the Costa del Sol this Summer or in the near future and are looking from a break from the norm when it comes to daily activities, then why not head over to Malaga and visit the Automobile Museum?
The museum (Museo Automovilístico de Málaga) is located at the very impressive looking Edificio Tabacalera with a total space of over 6,000 square metres which houses over 100 cars covering different periods.
The range of cars is fantastic and are arranged in areas for the different periods such as the Belle Opaque period from the late nineteenth century to 1914, The 1920’s, Art Deco, Dream Cars, English Tradition and Dolce Vita.
There is also an alternative energy range of cars including the solar car, the hydrogen car and a compressed air car.
Every Friday during July and August at 12:30 pm, a number of vehicles will have their hoods opened and engines started so that you can experience the incredible sounds made by just a few of these magnificent cars.
My favourite? It has to be the Cadillac Eldorado 1959 with its tail fins and chrome. Yum!
When Is The Museum Open?
The museum is open every day from 10am to 7pm but is closed on Mondays.
How Much Does It Cost?
Admission is just €6.50 with Students and Pensioners paying €4.50. Under 3 years are free.
