Benalmadena Teleferico Cable Car Costa del Sol
Linking Benalmadena Costa with the peak of Monte Calamorro, the tallest of the Malaga coast and reaching 800 meters above sea level at its highest point, is the cable car system of Benalmadena (Teleférico de Benalmadena). Opened in 2003 as part of the Selwo Adventure Parks Group, the cable cars quickly became one of the most popular tourist attractions of the Costa del Sol.

Volvo World Match Play Finca Cortesin Malaga 2012
The Volvo World Match Play returns to sunny Spain this year and will take place at the beautiful Finca Cortesin golf course in Casares, Malaga.
The Match Play format will see 24 of the leading players in the world going head to head including defending champion Ian Poulter, Spain’s Sergio Garcia, 2011 open champion Darren Clarke, world number 10 Justin Rose, Retief Goosen, Paul Lawrie and current USPGA champion Martin Kaymer.

Mijas Pueblo – A Brief Travel Guide
Scattered around the Costa del Sol are many pretty white washed villages. One that is extremely popular with locals as well as tourists, is the beautiful ‘Mijas Pueblo’. It is located 428 meters above sea level and nestles in the glorious Mijas mountains not far from Fuengirola or Benalmadena. The local population is 7,500 and is a real mixture of Spanish, English, Dutch and other nationalities.

Nerja Donkey Sanctuary Malaga
If you are visiting the Costa del Sol in 2012 or in the not too distant future and are looking for things to do on your holiday, why not pop along to the Donkey Sanctuary in Nerja?
The donkey sanctuary was setup in June 2004 and is run by a group of dedicated and caring volunteers who have given solace to many abused and mistreated donkeys, mules, horses and other animals.

Parque La Bateria Torremolinos Costa del Sol
Parque La Bateria is another one of the Costa del Sol’s hidden gems. This beautiful open space sits to the west of Torremolinos town centre and was originally a gun emplacement and military base in the 1940’s. It’s position on a hill over looking the Bay of Malaga made it the perfect place for Military Barracks. During the 1950’s the army left and the grounds became neglected and overgrown.
